I was approached by the Edmonton Journal a few days ago to give a few comments regarding the space I’ve secured on Jasper Avenue. I’m really excited to share all of this news with everyone. Thanks to the Edmonton Journal for helping me get this message out.

The hot young chef at Red Star (a NAIT grad who has also worked at Da Capo) says he’s secured a lease at 10345 Jasper Avenue, near the warehouse district growing ever more popular. Red Star Featured in WestJet’s up! Magazine

This is a one man kitchen. Food is served when ready. Please be patient. Enjoy.

On July 15, 2010, WestJet’s up! Magazine published an article featuring Red Star Pub. The author, Kristi Tegg, had some great things to say about the place and her meal. We’ve since noticed an influx of new people coming into the pub from out of town. I’m sure at least a few of them got wind of our spot from the article. So, many thanks, Kristi. It always feels great to hear feedback.

You can read the article on the WestJet up! Magazine website. I have also posted the accompanying spring pea crostini with roasted pine nuts recipe. Let me know if you make it, and how it turns out. Hope you enjoy.

Struttin’ to the sounds from the live DJ, I was excited to finally dine off the not-so-standard Italian influenced pub-fare menu, but first I had to pick a beer from their extensive 60+ selection of domestic and import brews. A sucker for all things fruity, I went with the Belgian Früli Strawberry – always the perfect choice on a warm summer evening.
